Rare Pachypodium Lamerei Madagascar Palm Caudex Succulent Plant 25-30cm

Bring home one of Madagascar's most iconic succulent species with this beautiful Pachypodium lamerei, commonly known as the Madagascar Palm.

Despite its name, the Madagascar Palm is not a true palm tree. Instead, it is a remarkable caudiciform succulent that stores water inside its thick trunk, allowing it to thrive in dry climates. Its dramatic silver-grey spiny stem, topped with elegant green leaves, creates a striking architectural appearance unlike almost any other houseplant.

Each plant offered is approximately 25–30cm tall (excluding leaves) and is carefully selected before dispatch. Because every Pachypodium grows naturally, trunk thickness, spine arrangement and overall shape will vary slightly, giving each specimen its own unique character.

As the plant matures, its trunk gradually becomes thicker and more sculptural, making it an increasingly impressive collector's plant over time.

Plant Care Guide

Provide bright light or full sun for best growth.

Allow the soil to dry completely before watering. During spring and summer, water thoroughly but infrequently. During autumn and winter, greatly reduce watering as the plant naturally enters dormancy.

Plant into a free-draining cactus or succulent mix and protect from frost.

Dormant plants may lose some or all of their leaves during cooler months. This is completely normal and new growth will return once temperatures increase.

Your plant will be shipped bare root without soil or pot to ensure safe transit and reduce shipping stress.

Please plant into fresh well-draining cactus soil after arrival and allow a short acclimation period before watering.
