Astrophytum myriostigma 'Kikko', commonly sold as a turtle-shell form of Bishop's Cap cactus, develops pronounced geometric ribs and a compact sculptural shape. You will receive one medium live plant selected from the current nursery batch. The photographed plant body is approximately 6 cm across; measurements are approximate and individual plants vary naturally.

Plant Care Guide

·     Light: Provide very bright light with direct sun introduced gradually to avoid scorch.

·     Water: Water thoroughly during active growth, then allow the compost to dry fully before watering again. Keep much drier in winter.

·     Soil: Use very free-draining cactus compost with additional mineral grit and a container with drainage holes.

·     Temperature: Keep frost-free and protect from prolonged cold, damp conditions. Good airflow is important.

This plant may be dispatched bare root or in its nursery pot depending on plant condition and seasonal shipping risk. The nursery will choose the safer method at dispatch. Bare-root plants may arrive with most loose compost removed and should be potted into dry, free-draining cactus compost before watering.

Live plants vary naturally in rib number, shape, colour and surface markings. The ruler image is a size guide rather than an exact size promise. 'Kikko' is retained as the established nursery/trade name; the accepted species is Astrophytum myriostigma.
